Natalie Portman has given birth to her second child, it has been reported.
According to E! News, the actress gave birth to a girl on Februarry 22, who she and husband Benjamin Millepied named Amalia.
Natalie and Benjamin are also parents to five-year-old boy Aleph.
Last week the 35-year-old announced she would not be attending the Oscars, where she was nominated for Best Actress for her portrayal of Jackie Kennedy in Jackie. In a statement to The Hollywood Reporter Portman said “Due to my pregnancy, I am unable to attend the Independent Spirit Awards and the Academy Awards. I feel so lucky to be honored among my fellow nominees and wish them the most beautiful of weekends.”
Of course, we now know she had already given birth when she released the statement. Emma Stone won Best Actress for her role in La La Land.

Although she didn’t win Best Actress, Natalie was widely praised for her portrayal of late First Lady, Kennedy. In the film she shines as she paints the portrait of the internal struggle of a grieving wife following her husband’s assassination, all in the public spotlight. As Variety described, she was “diamond hard”.
