Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are on round two of their relationship – and their decision to try again was inspired by her parents.
The 24-year-old has revealed that she and Liam opted to give their love another chance after being inspired by Billy Ray and Tish, who filed for divorce twice in the last decade but called it off both times, and are stronger than ever.
“One thing I’ve learned about marriage from my parents: Nothing and no one stays the same,” she told US Cosmopolitan.
“Grow, evolve, change with each other and celebrate your love’s journey!”
After calling off their engagement in 2013, Miley went through a period of change, embracing a controversial on-stage persona to shake off her Hannah Montana days.
By early 2016, rumours began that she and the Australian actor were back together, and it wasn’t long before she was seen wearing her engagement ring again.
She refers to their ups and downs in the lyrics of her hit new song Malibu, singing:
I never would’ve believed you if three years ago you told me I’d be here writing this song.”
