Michelle Obama’s hotly anticipated memoir Becoming has been selling its socks off since it was released in November, selling two million copies in just two weeks.

The popularity of the former First Lady’s book is showing no sign of waning, breaking a record held by Fifty Shades of Grey, CNN reports.

Becoming was recently the most-sold book on Amazon across all formats for 47 consecutive days. It’s the longest streak at number one a book has had since E.L James’ erotic romance novel seven years ago.

The memoir of America’s first black First Lady outselling the lazily written and problematic Fifty Shades. Maybe there’s hope for this world after all.

If you haven’t read it yet, do yourself a favour and order Becoming right now.
