Pour yourself a tipple of Tignanello because Meghan Markle is reportedly “very pleased” with the early success of her recently unveiled lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard. The business venture is slated to focus on “home, garden, food and general lifestyle wares” with a physical offering involving “home goods including edible treats like jellies, jams and spreads and tableware staples such as cutlery, table linens and drinkware”.

The Duchess of Sussex is yet to bring any products to market. She has, however, previewed the first foray which is the bespoke strawberry jam sent out to 50 of her closest friends, including fellow Suits alumni Abigail Spencer. Despite having not turned a profit due to produce being unavailable to purchase, the Montecito-based royal is reportedly satisfied with the nascent business.  “The rollout for American Riviera Orchard is already off to a strong start,” a source close to her and Prince Harry revealed.

“Meghan is very pleased with the early interest it has gained,” they said before adding the website has over 100,000 people signed up to the waitlist to receive updates and information on future launches. On Instagram, these metrics are even higher with the dedicated account boasting over 617,000 followers despite the last post dating back to the brand’s announcement on March 15, 2023.

Currently, the only images on its feed is a large-scale post of the label—an elegant monarch-inspired crest motif followed with the brand name written underneath in stylish cursive, presumingly hand-penned by Markle herself from her days as a calligrapher.

Markle has also reportedly wrapped filming on her upcoming lifestyle series with Netflix. It’s said the show will celebrate the “joys of cooking, gardening, entertaining, and friendship”, with products from American Riviera Orchard undoubtedly a main character in each episode. We’ll raise a glass of Californian rosé to that!
