At Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’ inauguration, everyone was expected to be talking about the style choices of the new Vice President, the former First Lady, Michelle Obama, and the performers, Lady Gaga and Jennifer Lopez. What no one had prepared for was Ella Emhoff, Harris’ 22-year-old stepdaughter and fashion student at Parsons in New York, to drop into the inauguration in an unbelievably chic Miu Miu coat.

Following Emhoff’s Miu Miu moment, she was quickly signed to IMG—the biggest talent and modelling agency in the world. Then, earlier this month, Emhoff made her official runway debut for Proenza Schouler at New York Fashion Week. Capturing the moment, she quickly released a collection of knitwear, which, naturally, immediately sold out.

But Emhoff isn’t the only one in the Vice President’s family who’s caught the attention of the fashion world.

Meena Harris, the niece of Kamala Harris, who has been making headlines recently for her support of the farmers in India who are protesting against the government, has become somewhat of a Prada muse.

The 36-year-old lawyer took to Instagram overnight to reveal she’d been invited to sit front row at the brand’s Milan Fashion Week show, albeit from the COVID-friendly safety of her own couch.

Dressed in top-to-toe Prada—a cut-out black turtleneck, skirt and blue kitten heels—Harris pulled her invite out of a Prada handbag, before leaping all over her couch and posing in various positions, refreshingly having fun and not taking herself too seriously.
