Fashion Week’s favourite irreverent incubator MADE is coming to Sydney this November for the first time, and we’d like to shout you tickets

For the uninitiated, MADE has been New York institution since 2009, beginning as a platform to support designers affected by the global financial crisis. In the years since, it has expanded to Los Angeles and Berlin and each year it stages over 70 fashion shows free of charge to the next generation of designers committed to doing things a little differently.

MADE Sydney will be no exception, with the weekend-long event drawing on the city’s dynamic fashion, skating, art, music and cultural worlds to create something entirely new – namely, the first ever runway presentation for Parisian label (and Rihanna’s repeat favourite) Faith Connexion. The show itself will use a replica of the iconic San Franciscan skate spot Hubba Hideout as its runway, after which it’ll be open to the public and will serve as a proving ground for Sydney’s first Skate + Style amateur competition.

Tickets will also grant you access to the world premiere screening of The High Life: Slim Aarons, an M2M documentary about the life and work of the photographer whose MO (“Photographing attractive people who were doing attractive things” like like former First Lady Jackie Kennedy, C. Z. Guest and Marilyn Monroe,) is as relevant now as it ever was.

To win tickets to MADE Sydney, simply head here and tell us in 25 words or less ‘who or what has inspired you this year’.
