Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox infamously first met at a party where, according to Fox, they couldn’t see each other (she didn’t ever explain what she meant by this – intense smoke machine, perhaps?) and Fox’s first words to her now fiancé were: “You smell like weed.” To which he replied like the bad boy he is, “I am weed.” It’s the stuff of a rom-com, if that rom-com was created not in its ‘90s heyday, but now, which is apparently exactly what’s happening.
In the middle of getting engaged and packing on the PDA on red carpets all over America, it appears today’s answer to Billy Bob Thornton and Angelina Jolie have been working on a movie together. To celebrate 4/20 – he’s nothing if not consistent with his brand – MGK dropped the first trailer for the stoner comedy film named, Good Mourning, which he not only co-wrote and co-directed with Mod Sun, but which he stars in, too. His co-star? None other than his fiancé, Megan Fox.
In Good Mourning, MGK stars as London Clash, an actor who, after getting a text from his girlfriend, Apple, that says “Good Mourning,” rushes to find out if the cryptic message means he’s been dumped. Surprisingly, it appears Fox doesn’t actually play Baker’s girlfriend or apparent love interest in the movie, instead that role is reserved for actress Becky G.
Fox comes into play when London meets her while trying to find Apple to confirm the meaning of her vague text. Also, making a cameo? None other than Pete Davidson.
Naturally, as any stoner comedy is want to do – Dude, Where’s my Car, anyone? – the trailer gets quite chaotic quite quickly: there’s fire hydrants, drugs, police, privat jets, car crashes and a pushy manager trying to convince London the only thing that will never break his heart is money.
Whether Fox and MGK end up together instead of him ending up with Apple remains to be seen, but given these two can’t seem to keep their hands off each other for long, it wouldn’t be a surprising cinematic twist.
