Bravo is a French actor who has had small roles in local television series such as Sous le Soleil de Saint-Tropez and Plus Belle la Vie, as well as in some short films such as Relation Libre, Caprice and Beautiful Injuries, but has mainly focused his career on the modelling.

In addition, Bravo worked as a sous chef, thus having the second most important role in the kitchen of any restaurant, only after the chef – this role fits him perfectly. “A few years ago I was a sous chef in a restaurant. So when I first got the scripts, I was like, ‘Oh wow, this is definitely for me, I’m definitely going to use those skills. And then they made me cook the tortillas that I made for Emily on the show,” the actor said in a recent interview with film critic Manny the Movie Guy.

Regarding the character he plays, Gabriel, Bravo said, “I think he’s having the best time of his life but he’s a little lost. He wants to do it alone. He doesn’t want help and, at the same time, he has responsibilities and feels a bit emasculated by Camille.” And as for the undeniable chemistry he has with Emily on screen, he said it’s genuine. “It’s about fun at the end of the day, and that’s exactly what it was. I came on set and we had so much chemistry that it made this experience exactly what I expected when we started. ” What will Charlie McDowell, fiancé of Lily Collins, think?

Still not knowing how successful the Netflix series will be, Bravo is delighted to perform in his native country, representing in the best way, the clichés of his culture. In the aforementioned interview, he also told Manny that he recognises the efforts of the creator of Emily in Paris, Darren Star, as he lived in France for a few years and became familiar with the daily life of the country.

“Darren experienced it because he used to live in Paris and he speaks French. Therefore, it is not just an assumption from an American perspective. It’s from someone who really lived it. So I really like the fact that he found all those little dots that sometimes even we don’t see because we’re inside of them,” he said.

It appears we can thank Darren for putting Lucas Bravo into our view!
