The Spring/Summer 2017 collections dropping in the rest of the world (namely, northern hemispheric fashion capitals of Europe and America) are littered with statement chiffon and silk dresses – like Romee Stridj’s angelic pick below – that are lengthy in the sleeve department only, making them the most on-trend between-season piece you could own right now.

The fact they’re light, breezy and perfect for autumn doesn’t stop them being ideal once the full-blown winter chill kicks in too. Layer a roll-necked knit underneath and team with mid-calf boots (making a spectacular return to shoe trend status this year) or thigh-highs a la Kendall Jenner below and you’re set to sail through our Aussie winter. Just think of it as replacing your LBD with an LSD (long-sleeved dress).
