TikTok has come under fire from queen and body positivity icon Lizzo, after the singer noticed the social media platform has been removing videos of her in a bikini.

In a clip posted to none other than TikTok, Lizzo writes, “Tiktok keeps taking down my videos with me in my bathing suits,” adding, “But allows other videos with girls in bathing suits. I wonder why Tiktok…we need to talk.”

At the same time as the words read across the screen, Lizzo sings the words, “I know” on repeat, hinting that the images have been taken down because she doesn’t fit society’s beauty perceptions.

Following Lizzo’s post, which received a huge outcry of support from fans, TikTok restored the video.

A spokesperson explained to Page Six that the clip was actually removed because it looked like Lizzo was flashing her underwear, something that doesn’t meet the platform’s community guidelines. However, after TikTok confirmed the singer was wearing a swimsuit, the video was restored.
