Hair chameleon Lizzo has once again raised the bar, this time by sporting an icy grey hair colour. The singer debuted her new look on Instagram, writing in a post, “Petition to play Storm in the next X-Men movie”. The colour is reminiscent of the infamous character, who was played by Halle Berry in the original sci-fi films, and honestly, we just need this to happen.

While it might not be a permanent change – the colour came courtesy of a wig styled by hairstylist Shelby Swain – it looks Good As Hell on the musician, so we’re hoping it sticks around. Lizzo carried the metallic theme through to her makeup, with sparkling grey and mauve-toned eyeshadow and silver nails.

The star’s makeup artist Alexx Mayo broke down Lizzo’s entire chrome makeup look on Instagram, revealing that it was Lottie London’s Mauves Eyeshadow Palette that was responsible for her soft, icy eye look. Mayo also shared that the singer’s skin was prepped with Augustinus Bader’s iconic The Rich Cream ($120) before applying a glowing base with Huda Beauty’s #FauxFilter Luminous Matte Liquid Foundation ($61) and Bite Beauty’s Daycation Whipped Blush in Coconut Rum ($50).

After the eyeshadow was applied, Mayo used false eyelashes to enhance Lizzo’s peepers, with Charlotte Tilbury’s Lip Cheat lipliner and lipstick in Pillowtalk Intense. As demonstrated by the star’s selfies, the end result was positively stunning.

Lizzo recently revealed a whole host of her favourite skincare products on TikTok, which goes a long way in explaining her unending glow. Amongst other skin salves, the singer shared that she’s a big fan of Glow Recipe, using the brand’s Watermelon Glow Ultra Fine Mist ($43), Pineapple-C Bright Serum ($75) and Banana Soufflé Moisture Cream ($75).
