In a little corner of Paris, images of vintage Valentino are projected onto the facades of neatly stacked apartment buildings. Rightfully so little is known about the Italian House’s forthcoming collection, and while it is traditionally shown in its home city of Milan, will see and excursion to Paris Fashion Week. On October 1 at 8:30pm CEST (4:30am on Saturday morning for Australia), the Maison will deliver #ValentinoRendezVous live from the historic Carreau du Temple.
“A change in perspective, a path looking forward and back,” is teased on the brand’s social media and online.
Valentino’s global ambassador and style icon Zendaya provides the prelude to the mysterious event, dressed in a sixties-esque flapper dress. The brand’s coveted design cues of voluminous sleeves and cultish rock studs a homage to “what came before”.
