It wasn’t too long ago that we saw Lily-Rose Depp dripping in sleaze through the sculpted body suits and scantily clad Saint Laurent sets she wore for HBO’s The Idol.
But just as the pendulum that is the trend cycle swings, Depps’ wardrobe has shifted into a hauntingly beautiful aesthetic that can only be described as the antithesis of her Jocelyn costume.
That was cemented overnight when the emerging scream queen made her red carpet debut for Robert Eggers’ terrifying reimagining of Nosferatu.

In the modern rendering of the beloved gothic tale, Depp fronts the film as Ellen Hutter, a precocious ingénue stalked by an ancient vampire played by resident creature actor, Bill Skarsgård. Throughout the horror, we see Depp fall further into a dark possession as the blood-sucker attempts to consume her, both figuratively and literally.
Paying homage to these themes, Depp fuses the 19th-century setting with a thrilling contemporary elegance fitting for the role. This was something she began in Los Angeles in an elegant white and black gown with a contrasting pink rosette at the 2024 Governors Awards.
Now, here at the London premiere at Leicester Square’s Odeon Theatre, she’s doubling down on this mode in a soft lilac gown from Chanel.

As one of Karl Lagerfeld’s final ‘choupettes’, a word used to describe his muses, Depp has a long history with the French Maison beginning from when she was a teenager.
Here, she opted for one of Virgine Viard’s creations, wearing the closing look from the Luxuriate’s Fall 2020 Couture collection which features a ruffled shawl-like collar and panelled skirt made from a silk taffeta. The look was completed by a multi-coloured gold and jewel crucifix that hung from the plunging neckline.

As we’ve already seen from Emma Corrin, the cast is hell-bent on making the press tour a fashion fantasy. Corrin followed suit in a ghost-like sheer gown from Alexander McQueen’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection.

Though they’re not quite method-dressing, inspiration is clearly being drawn—or sucked, in this case—from the movie’s subject matter. Yes, we’ve come a long way from the days of Bram Stoker’s Dracula or the Twilight saga.
But just based on these looks alone, this release is surely something worth sinking your teeth into. Watch the eerie trailer below, and refresh yourself on the most anticipated films coming out on 2025, here.
