The world went wild when Liam Hemsworth was spotted holding hands in New York City with Dynasty actress Maddison Brown, a date which was quickly followed up by a PDA-filled night out with friends, making it seem like the two were pretty serious – serious enough to kiss in the street and play with traffic cones, anyway. But after a few months of silence, it looks like the pair’s romance has died down and Hemsworth, who is currently finalising his divorce with Miley Cyrus, is seeing another stunning Australian: Sydney model Gabriella Brooks.
Over the weekend, Hemsworth was spotted introducing Brooks to his parents during a lunch date in Byron Bay. In the photos, the 29-year-old actor looks relaxed as Brooks hugs his mum and laughs with his dad before sitting down in the sun.
Though Hemsworth hasn’t posted anything on social media lately – and likely won’t given how private he is – Brooks shared a gallery of images showing she’s in Byron Bay to Instagram.
So who’s the woman who has stolen the heart of Australia’s most eligible bachelor?
Brooks, who was born in Sydney, has modelled for the likes of Topshop and often travels the world attend fashion and red carpet events, including the launch of Reformation’s first London store and the Ad Astra screening during the Venice Film Festival earlier this year.
While Hemsworth is just exiting a decade-long very public relationship with Cyrus, Brooks has recently ended a long-term relationship of her own with musician Matthew Healy who fronts the British band 1975. The two had been together since 2015 and articles from August cite Healy’s partying and busy schedule as the reason behind the split.
“He [Matt] parties a lot at home when he’s there and Gabby had just had enough. She doesn’t want to lead her life like that,” a source said at the time.
Since Cyrus and Hemsworth confirmed their separation in August, the singer has been famously linked to Kaitlynn Carter and Australian singer Cody Simpson, whom she’s been publicly dating since October.
Though we might have to wait a while before any official confirmation from Brooks and Hemsworth about their blossoming romance, a meeting of the parents this close to Christmas suggests things are moving fast.
