When Leonardo DiCaprio first started dating then-21-year-old actress Camila Morrone, there were reports that the infamous playboy had finally found the woman for him. At the time, most brushed off the ‘it’s really serious’ statements and rumours of a looming engagement because, let’s face it, we’d heard it all before.

But it’s been over two years now since the couple were first spotted together and they seem stronger than ever. In fact, they made their official awards ceremony debut at the biggest event in Hollywood on Sunday night: the Academy Awards.

For the event, Morrone, a ridiculously genetically-blessed woman, wore a sheer, strapless custom Carolina Herrera gown with her hair in waves and a Tiffany & Co. choker. Meanwhile, her beau DiCaprio opted for a classic black tuxedo for the occasion.

Though Morrone and DiCaprio walked the red carpet separately – the Once Upon a Time In Hollywood actor hasn’t posed with a girlfriend on the red carpet since 2005 when he dated supermodel Gisele Bündchen – they reunited straight after the photo wall and sat together in the front row:

Of course, the couple’s age gap has been the subject of a lot of headlines over the past two years and was even referenced during awards season. At the Golden Globes last month, host Ricky Gervais joked, “Once Upon a Time In Hollywood [is] nearly three hours long. Leonardo DiCaprio attended the premiere, and by the end, his date was too old for him.”

Meanwhile, Morrone has publicly commented on her relationship with the actor numerous times, both on Instagram and in interviews. Most recently she told the Los Angeles Times: “There’s so many relationships in Hollywood – and in the history of the world – where people have large age gaps. I just think anyone should be able to date who they want to date.”

Speaking of age gaps, Camila, please help a sister out and organise me a date with that man on your left.
