Lady Gaga has given fans a first listen at three more songs from her upcoming album Joanne, after releasing the first single Perfect Illusion last month.
Gaga played the tracks at a performance in Nashville as part of a three-city ‘Dive Bar Tour’, and later released them on YouTube.
The most fascinating track is undoubtedly Million Reasons, a stripped-back heartbreak ballad with country influence, which assumedly is inspired by the end of her engagement to fiancé Taylor Kinney in July after five years together.
The lyrics include: “I’ve got a million reasons to walk away/ But baby, I just need one good one to stay.”
This week Gaga told E News! that Joanne, which was the name of her aunt who passed away years ago but has continued to be a shaping force in the singer’s life, is her most personal collection of songs yet.
“I would just say that my music on my album as well as all my albums is inspired by my personal life [but] this one more than others.”
Joanne is slated to drop on October 21.
