Reality TV star turned beauty mogul turned fashion darling Kylie Jenner stepped out on Wednesday evening in West Hollywood, proving high-street can be good enough for a billionaire.

For the launch party of Mugler’s new collection in collaboration with H&M, Jenner, who was just announced as the new campaign face of Jean Paul Gaultier, wore a top-to-toe look from the release, made up of a Matrix-inspired black leather trench coat with exaggerated shoulders, done up to work as a dress.

Adding sheer black second-skin gloves and black denier tights with seams down the front of the leg, also from the collaboration, the 25-year-old completed the look with a pair of witchy narrow, square-toed black pumps, wearing her black hair, in an exaggerated side part, loose and in messy waves.

Jenner’s appearance at the event was in support of her longtime friend, Mugler’s creative director Casey Cadwallader, who created the range following the French fashion brand’s founder Thierry Mugler’s death in January 2022.

Jenner has worn Mugler plenty of times of late, most notably two separate looks in one night — a black corseted gown with a diamond headdress, then a sheer black webbed catsuit — in New York last November as well as an archival gown from the house’s autumn 1999 collection, which she wore to the CFDA Awards, outshining even her older sister, Kim Kardashian.

Given how quickly H&M’s designer collaborations have sold out in the past — including collections with Chanel, Simone Rocha and Balmain — it won’t be long before this one, which dropped online overnight, is completely out of stock.

Jenner’s coat is long gone, but to shop other pieces, run, don’t walk.
