Academy-award nominee Kristen Stewart is working on a new project with none other than her fianceé Dylan Meyer.
Following in the footsteps of John Krasinski and Emily Blunt – who worked together on A Quiet Place, which Krasinski wrote before asking his talented actress wife if she’d star in the horror film – in her cover story for Vanity Fair, Stewart revealed she and Meyer are collaborating on a potential TV show, which Meyer is writing and Stewart plans to act in.
At first, the actress worried that a business relationship might impact their romantic relationship, especially since they’re currently in the post-engagement bliss stage. “You don’t want that to affect this beautiful relationship you have,” Stewart said. Before adding that thankfully, their professional dynamic ended up working well: they wrote the first episode in just a week and a half.
“Like we discovered a superbrain,” Stewart explained. Adding of Meyer, “She’s a really genuinely brilliant fucking screenwriter.”
In the interview, Stewart also expressed her excitement about marrying Meyer. “I love being engaged,” she told the magazine. “It’s different. … I just feel so happy and lucky.”
Stewart, who revealed her engagement to Meyer in November, spoke about how they first met on Live with Kelly and Ryan last month. “We met years ago and then sort of re-met before the pandemic,” she said. “And we got engaged — I guess it’s still the pandemic, so yes, I guess it’s a pandemic engagement.”
“But it wasn’t at the height, it wasn’t full lockdown,” she continued. “We were kind of moving about the world a little more freely at the time. We did have an engagement party, which was nice and lucky and obviously not something we could have done now so I’m thankful for that.”
Also in January, Stewart said the pair hadn’t locked in a date yet, but “it’ll happen when it’s supposed to happen.”
“But I also don’t want to be engaged for, like, five years,” she added. “Like, we want to do it, you know what I mean?”
Furthermore, the actress hinted she already knows what she’s wearing, but unfortunately for us, she’s keeping that detail on the down-low. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Stewart said her and Meyer’s wedding will likely be unconventional. “I don’t know how many traditions we’re going to follow,” she told the publication, before adding that she already knows what she’s wearing. “But I know what I’m going to wear,” she teased.
Though you could guess perhaps she’d opt for a Chanel suit given she’s a brand ambassador, Stewart joked she’s leaning more towards jeans and Converse. “The best pair of Levi’s ever and like an old T-shirt that has a tuxedo printed on it but like cutoff, and barefoot,” she said of her mood board to Howard Stern in November. “I want to get married in Topanga. I want to be chilling. I want it to be very homey. I want to see her laugh hysterically when she sees me in like a faux-tuxedo T-shirt.”
