As The Kardashians continues, we’ve received more and more insights into the engagement of Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker. In this week’s episode it was revealed that the reality star had broken her $1 million engagement ring when she accidentally stepped on it just days after the engagement.
“I was sitting on my floor folding sweatshirts and I took the ring off and I put it next to me on the floor thinking it’d be safe right next to me,” she told Kris Jenner. “I had to get something up above in my closet, and when I stepped down I stepped on the ring.”
Kardashian continued, “I was hysterically crying in my closet for, like, hours. Then I called Travis, I was like: ‘I did something really, really bad’ and he handled it the best, but it really gave me a nervous breakdown.”
The ring in question is a huge 12-carat oval diamond from Lorraine Schwartz. The Blink-182 drummer proposed to Kardashian last October on a beach in Montecito, California.

“Travis escorted Kourtney down to the beach, where he had red and white florals set up in the shape of a heart,” an eyewitness told E! News of the engagement. “It looked very romantic. I could see Kourtney smiling from ear to ear and put her hand over her mouth looking surprised. The family cheered for them and went back into the hotel.”
The aftermath of the engagement through the eyes of Scott Disick was also aired on The Kardashians. He was given prior knowledge of the engagement but told Khloé Kardashian, he had lost his ex-partner as a friend.
“It was a huge adjustment losing Kourtney romantically, but now it’s becoming a huge adjustment losing her as a best friend,” he said. “Now we’re really just more co-parents. I’d say it’s probably one of the more difficult things in my life.”
Kardashian and Barker are now trying to fall pregnant.
