We’re only a couple of hours in but already Kirsten Dunst has missed out on the 2016 Emmy Award for Lead Actress in a Limited Series or Movie category. The 34-year-old actress was up nominated for her role as Peggy Blumquist in American black comedy television show, Fargo, but lost out to Sarah Paulson for her betrayal of Head prosecutor in the O.J. Simpson murder trail in The People vs. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story. Felicity Huffman and Lili Taylor were also both nominated for American Crime, Audra McDonald for Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar & Grille and Kerry Washington for Confirmation.

Courtney B Vance, the actor who played Johnnie Cochran – the American lawyer who defended O.J. Simpson and was thus responsible for his acquittal during the murder trial – won today’s Emmy for Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Movie category.

More to come.
