After uploading an obscure video on Instagram last week alluding to a new face for the launch of her Dark Star 006 eye kit, renowned makeup artist Pat McGrath has just revealed who her new muse is – and it’s been well worth the wait. A teaser video uploaded on McGrath’s Instagram account an hour ago has unveiled Kim Kardashian West as the mystery muse.
A teaming up of two of the biggest makeup influencers in the world, the short film ends with Kardashian West looking off into the distance while stroking her hair. Her face features a strong smokey eye, with McGrath using the new Dark Star 006 Version: UltraSuede Brown shadow and Dark Matter pigment to get the look.
With the Dark Star 006 range being released on April 11, McGrath makeup fans have been going crazy about the launch of the upcoming range – so Kardashian’s announcement is sure to bring an entirely new level of furore.
The Pat McGrath Labs Dark Star 006 is the makeup artist’s sixth product launch – with the range consisting of Dark Matter pigment, Black Smudgeliner eye kohl, Astral White pigment, Mercury pigment, the Cyber Clear eye gloss and a fluffy blender brush. There’s then the option to get the Version: UltraViolet Blue with rich blue pigment or Version: UltraSuede Brown shadow.
While the video doesn’t give too much away about what Kardashian’s exact involvement will be, McGrath has announced that more information will be released tomorrow via E! News.
