Despite the recent dinners in LA, trips to New York together and faux vow renewals, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West reportedly aren’t getting back together anytime soon.
West accompanied his ex-wife to her gig on Saturday Night Live over the weekend, where he sat front row as she called him “an amazing, legit genius” (before roasting his personality). Following the appearance (and that Balenciaga wedding dress moment last month), there were questions over whether the pair, who announced their split in February, were still exes, or whether they’d decided to give their relationship another go.
But according to sources who spoke with PEOPLE, despite the couple being in a “better” place than they were in February when Kardashian filed for divorce, the SKIMS founder is still going ahead with the decision.
“Kim and Kanye are friends, but that’s it. She is still moving forward with the divorce,” they said.
“She loves having Kanye’s support though,” the source added. “They were not in a good place around the time Kim filed for divorce. She is so happy that things are better now. It’s all very beneficial for the kids.”
Meanwhile, another insider said similar to Page Six, saying the pair are “not back together”, but that they’ll always be there for each other.
The second source explained that “Nothing’s changed,” adding, “They are not back together. He is still her family, and they are friends. They’ve been working on their friendship for the kids, and continue to support each other. He’ll always be her family, and they’ll always support each other.”
West has reportedly also listed his Wyoming ranch, where he’s been living for at least the past year, for sale after buying a $57 million (£42 million) mansion in Malibu, which could mean that he’s set to spend more time in California near the rest of the Kardashian-Jenner family.
