Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have welcomed their child.

Kim updated her personal website overnight to announce the birth, confirming their baby girl was safe and healthy after being born via a surrogate mother.

“Kanye and I are happy to announce the arrival of our healthy, beautiful baby girl,” the statement said.

“We are incredibly grateful to our surrogate who made our dreams come true with the greatest gift one could give, and to our wonderful doctors and nurses for their special care.

“North and Saint are especially thrilled to welcome their baby sister.”

In September Kim confirmed reports the couple were using a surrogate to have a third child – in a trailer for Keeping Up With The Kardashians season 14, of course.

Kim has a condition called placenta accreta, which would make an attempt to carry a baby to term dangerous.

“I want my kids to have siblings, but the doctors don’t feel like it’s safe for me,” she said on a past episode of KUWTK as she explored her options.

“I’m going to try to have one more baby.”

Kimye’s daughter North is four, while their son Saint is two.

It’s the first of several babies expected for the Kardashian-Jenner clan this year; Khloe Kardashian is due to give birth to her first child in March, and Kylie Jenner is also reportedly pregnant, although she’s yet to confirm the news.

The dynasty live on.
