Kim Kardashian is a known fan of Cher – she channelled the singer for a magazine cover photoshoot recently, gushing that Cher was her “number one style icon”.
So it must have made Kim’s day, week and maybe even her year that Cher has given Kardashian a tick of approval after she dressed up as her for Halloween.
Kim recreated Cher’s look from the 1973 Oscars overnight, while her friend Jonathan Cheban went as Cher’s former husband and musical partner Sonny Bono.
After sharing several photos of their outfit online, Cher tweeted her approval to Kim.
“Woke To See You Are Me 4 [Halloween],” the Believe singer tweeted.
“You Look BEAUTIFUL Little Armenian Sister.”
One Twitter user put Cher’s original look and Kim’s version side-by-side and claimed Cher wore it better.
Kim may have known it was a safe bet to dress as Cher – and earn a thumbs up – for Halloween. After she posed as Cher for the magazine shoot and confessed her obsession with Cher in the accompanying interview, saying:
“She’s always had the sickest style, I’m obsessed with her … to think that she was wearing these sheer dresses in the ’70s and just what people must have thought back then.”
Cher tweeted her approval, saying “My Little Armenian Sister did us both Proud.”
It’s early days, but it’s safe to say Kim Kardashian may have won Halloween 2017 already.
