The soundtrack for your next night out with the girls has been found: Kesha’s fun and empowering new single, Woman.

The second single to drop from her upcoming album Rainbow, Woman is like Beyonce’s Single Ladies meets Shania Twain’s Man! I Feel Like A Woman.

While Kesha’s other recent single Praying is an emotional, raw ballad, Woman is fun, upbeat and empowered. In it, she sings:

I’m a motherf*cking woman, baby, alright
I don’t need a man to be holding me too tight
I’m a motherfucking woman, baby, that’s right
I’m just having fun with my ladies here tonight
I’m a motherf*cker

In the bridge, she continues:

Don’t buy me a drink, I make my money
Don’t touch my weave, don’t call me “honey”
‘Cause I run my sh*t, baby

It’ll make you want to delete Tinder, assemble your girl gang and go out dancing all night.

In an essay for Rolling Stone upon the release of Woman, Kesha explains how the song came about.

“I have always been a feminist, but for much of my life I felt like a little girl trying to figure things out. In the past few years, I have felt like a woman more than ever.

“I just feel the strength and awesomeness and power of being female. We hold the key to humanity … I just really fucking love being a woman and I wanted an anthem for anyone else who wants to yell about being self-sufficient and strong. Yes, men, this song can be for you too.”

Kesha has been embroiled in a legal battle with her former producer and songwriting partner Dr Luke, who she alleges sexually assaulted her, for several years.

Her first album in five years, Rainbow, is out August 11.
