Does Darius Jackson, Keke Palmer’s boyfriend and father of her son, need a ladder to climb out of the rock bottom hole into which he fell? If you’re not familiar with his name, don’t worry about committing it to memory because it seems like Keke Palmer is taking him out with the trash after he took to Twitter to criticise her outfit.

Jackson, who went by the name of Darius Dalton on social media until he performed a mass exodus on all platforms, took it upon himself to offer sartorial advice for his son’s, Leodis, mother.

Retweeting a video of Palmer being serenaded by Usher at his Las Vegas residency, Jackson added his (unasked for) two cents by writing: “It’s the outfit tho.. you a mom.” The ensemble in question? A black bodysuit layered under a mesh polka-dot maxi dress. Designed by Givenchy, may we add.

As expected, Palmer’s hive was quick to form a virtual uprising against Jackson, shaming him for his attempts to police what Palmer wears. The tweet was laden with misogynistic undertones, with Jackson insinuating that because Palmer is a mother, she should dress a certain way or at least more conservatively than she did while attending a child-free concert in Las Vegas.

Jackson then published a subsequent tweet doubling down on his beliefs.

“We live in a generation where a man of the family doesn’t want the wife & mother to his kids to showcase booty cheeks to please others & he gets told how much of a hater he is,” he wrote. “This is my family & my representation. I have standards & morals to what I believe.”

Proving that she’s the millennial diva she claims to be, Palmer scorched any semblance of dignity Jackson had left with her response: a carousel of her “unmotherly” outfit.

“I wish I had taken more pictures but we were running late!” Palmer wrote to accompany a series of photos of her posing in her luxurious dress.

Usher even weighed in, writing in the comments section, “The Big Boss!! Thank U for coming 🙏🏿”, however, we’d say comedian and host Ziwe’s response articulates our sentiments perfectly: “Queen sh*t”.

Jackson has since reactivated his Twitter account, but his Instagram page is now defunct. A lesson to be learned here is that a sheer Givenchy dress is always the perfect outfit choice, especially if you’re Keke Palmer. We’re shopping our own version of the dress in solidarity.
