Katy Perry gave James Corden all the details on her feud with Taylor Swift when she appeared on his Carpool Karaoke segment this week.

After singing along to her new song Swish Swish, which is quite obviously a response to Taylor’s Bad Blood, Corden asked Perry about the beef.

“There’s a situation and she started it, and it’s time for her to finish it,” Katy said.

She confirmed the rumours that their feud started over backup dancers that performed in both Taylor and Katy’s tours.

“Yeah, it’s about backing dancers. It’s so crazy,” Perry said.

“So there’s three backing dancers on her tour and they asked me before they went on her tour if they could go, and I said ‘of course, I’m not on a record cycle right now … but I will be in probably about a year. So put a 30-day contingency in your contract so you can get out if you want to join me when I go back.”

Katy said that when the dancers did that, they were fired.

“I tried to talk to her about it and she wouldn’t speak to me … it was a full shutdown and then she writes a song about me, and I’m like, okay, cool, cool, cool, that’s how you want to deal with it? Karma!”

The Chained To The Rhythm singer said she would be happy for the feud to be over, although hinted she may forgive but not forget.

“But what I want to say is that I’m ready for that BS to be done.

“Now, there is the law of cause and effect. You do something, there’s going to be a reaction, and trust me daddy, there’s going to be a reaction. It’s all about karma, right?”

But ultimately, Perry says she wants to see women divided, not hating each other.

“I think personally that women together, not divided, and none of this petty bullsh*t, women together will heal the world.”

Your move, Taylor.
