When fans first spotted Kim Kardashian’s name seemingly tattooed on her new boyfriend Pete Davidson’s chest, the internet aptly went wild. A few days later, Kardashian not only confirmed the ink, but added the comedian had another two permanent body fixtures dedicated to her (her favourite reads ‘My girl is a lawyer’ on his collarbone) and that her name wasn’t just tattooed, as fans had thought, but actually branded onto him.
Since then, Davidson debuted yet another piece dedicated to the SKIMS founder, this time a design featuring the first initials of Kardashian and her ex-husband Kanye West’s four kids. (It’s safe to say West probably isn’t too pleased about this development). This might seem like a lot – and it is – but it pays to note, that Davidson’s entire body is covered in tattoos and, as Kardashian herself explains while speaking with Ellen DeGeneres, “ that’s what tattoo people do, right? They get tattoos of what’s going on in their life.”
Now, it appears West’s new girlfriend, Chaney Jones, feels the same, debuting what sure looks like new ink dedicated to the rapper on her Instagram stories yesterday.
In photos shared to her account, Jones is seen wearing a bandeau top and shiny pants with built-in heels while out for dinner. But despite the statement outfit, fans were distracted by the outside of her wrist, where it looks like there’s a small new tattoo of a word in script reading “ye” — West’s legal moniker since October 2021. It’s unclear when Jones got the ink, but she and West were recently in Tokyo together, coinciding with the Kardashians celebrating West and Kardashian’s son Psalm’s third birthday in LA.
Jones and West first sparked romance rumours in February 2022, after Julia Fox confirmed her split from him after a whirlwind six weeks on Valentine’s Day. In March, a source close to West told E! News that “Ye is having fun with Chaney,” adding, “They have been spending a lot of time together in the last two weeks and he likes her company. She travels with him and they are having a good time.”
Following on from gifting Fox and her friends Birken’s, West has also gifted his new girlfriend a few too, one of which is so rare it was reportedly worth $275,000 USD. Celebrities, they’re just like us, only with more Birken’s and tattoos.
