Following Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson being spotted together numerous times over the holiday period, a source has revealed exactly how Kanye West, who bought the house across the street from his ex this week, is faring.

According to Us Weekly “Kim and Pete are getting serious. Things have definitely escalated quickly but in a healthy, fun way. Right now, they are just enjoying their time together and seeing where things go.”

“Kanye absolutely despises Kim dating Pete” and “is so jealous,” they added. Apparently, Kardashian is trying not to rock the boat with her ex-husband, which is why she usually sees Davidson publicly in a group (Scott Disick joined them for their movie date in Staten Island last week reportedly to ensure West didn’t get too upset).

Meanwhile, despite Kardashian and Davidson continuing to spend time together, the SKIMs founder reportedly “doesn’t want to rush into anything too serious” too soon, but is enjoying the “early stages” of dating. As the source put it, “They are super smitten over each other though, that’s for sure.” Kardashian is still keeping her children separate, too: Davidson wasn’t invited to the Kardashian’s scaled-down Christmas Eve party because he hasn’t yet met North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm, who she shares with West.

The same day, another source spoke to People adding, “Kim is so into [Pete]. [They] are both really cuddly and affectionate with each other. They seem more comfortable than couples who have been together a long time. Kim is obviously very happy with him.”

Davidson is apparently “exactly what Kim needed after her divorce — someone to make her laugh and just have a fun time with. The end of her marriage was a very dark time for her and Pete has been the best antidote.”

Earlier this week, reports surfaced that West had bought a house across the street from Kardashian, prompting many to assume it’s the latest (very expensive) way the rapper plans to win his ex-wife back. However, sources close to him are saying his motive was purely to make co-parenting and seeing his and Kardashian’s four children easier.

“He only bought it for the location,” A source told People, noting he plans to tear the house down and build a new one. “It’s near Kim and the kids. He has a vision for the house and plans on starting construction ASAP,” the source says. “It will be family-friendly. He wants to be able to have the kids over as much as possible. Living only in Malibu was making visits more tricky for Kanye.”

West was so keen for this location that he paid $421,000 over the asking price, handing over a reported $4.5 million for the Hidden Hills estate. “When he realised he could buy the house and be near his family he jumped at the idea,” the source explained. “He wants to be close by and be there for the kids.”
