The stress of his wife being robbed at gunpoint, months of touring and working on various fashion projects at once has been blamed for Kanye West’s breakdown last month, but another reason for the rapper’s ill health has been revealed.
According to TMZ, the website that seems to have a 24/7 direct line to someone in Kanye’s camp, the rapper altered the dosage of prescribed medications he was taking for various psychological issues, leading to his erratic, up-and-down behaviour and eventual breakdown.
TMZ says doctors were able to get Kanye back onto the right dosage during his eight day hospital stay, and he’s continuing to be treated as an outpatient now he’s home.
Despite the dramatic turn of events for the Kardashian-Jenner clan in recent months, with Kanye’s hospitalisation just the icing on the cake of a particularly stressful period, Keeping Up With The Kardashians continues to be filmed, as the show’s creator and executive producer Ryan Seacrest told People on Saturday.
“I’ve spoken to Kim,” Seacrest said. “I’ve not spoken to Kanye, but I think that things are going better now.
“There have been some reports that we halted production,” he continued. “We did stop for a little bit, briefly, after the Paris incident, but since then we’ve been back in full production. We’re shooting season 13.”
It sounds like the genuine drama of the last few months has generated some material too good not to use – especially for a family built on sharing their lives.
