Did Taylor Swift go too far by deciding to release her new album – the one that disses Kanye West – on the same date as the rapper’s mother’s death? Can she salvage her tarnished reputation with her new sound? And will America embrace her just announced national tour? Well, it appears Yeezy fans will be doing everything in their power to stop the pop juggernaut in her tracks.

West’s fans recently banded together via an online streaming event in which they all collectively downloaded and streamed West’s Hey Mama track for 12 hours straight on Spotify. The move was to counteract Swift’s “calculated” release of her album Reputation which, as mentioned, was released on the 10th anniversary of Donda West’s death in 2007.

Unfortunately, despite the 16-year-old organiser’s attempts, the track didn’t make the streaming giant’s Top 200 list. And with all the horrible things going on in the world, do we really need to see out another divide between these two? For once, the headline is not Taylor Swift and her “reputation.” Please, just stop.
