The 2020 presidential election is all anyone can talk about right now, especially after the completely off the rails first debate between President Donald Trump and Democratic Presidential Nominee Joe Biden and, of course, Trump’s COVID-19 diagnosis and hospitalisation that followed just one-day later.

On Wednesday night, the Democratic vice presidential candidate, Kamala Harris, and Republican vice president, Mike Pence, came head to head for the first and only Vice Presidential Debate on television, which went a hell of a lot smoother than the two old white men that came before them.

During the event, Pence tried to interrupt Harris – just as Trump had done to Biden – but instead of losing her cool (Biden at one point said, ‘Will you shut up man?’ and at another, called the President a ‘clown’), Harris calmly told the VP that she hadn’t finished what she was saying: ‘Mr Vice President, I’m speaking,’ she said at one point, before noting at another, ‘If you don’t mind letting me finish, we can then have a conversation — ok?’

Harris’ cool, calm and collected temperament was praised worldwide with celebrities, including Former First Lady Michelle Obama and actress Gabrielle Union, sharing their thoughts following the debate.

Of course, another less important but still pretty hilarious, part of the debate was when a fly landed on Pence’s head where it sat uninterrupted for at least three minutes.

And this is where we’re at, folks:
