Now we can tick one more thing off our FOMO list, because cult brand (and Kaia Gerber favourite) Allies Of Skin has officially landed in Australia via Mecca (because, where else?).

Skincare lovers have of course been obsessing over the Singapore-based brand for a long time, getting their fix through Revolve (which ships to Oz), but now with its permanent Mecca-shaped home, not only will you be able to see and feel the products in real life – you’ll be able to have treatments with it via their Mecca Aesthetica offering.

Allies of Skin launched in 2016, with what they called a “formula-first” skincare. Translation: All the (clinically-proven) actives, in sophisticated, effective formulations. As the brand founder says, “formula is everything” – and this is exactly where the brand shines with each one focusing on skin health.

Rather than riding the wave of single-ingredient products that encouraged DIY chemistry, Allies of Skin combined the most efficacious actives into products that actually did what they promised – got results. It made buying skincare fuss-free, because you didn’t need a line up of 17 different serums for one face.

Of course, high quality ingredients and elegant formulations come at a cost (there are 15 products in the stable ranging from $60- $226), however the idea is that you can minimise the noise in your beauty routine by just having a few incredibly well made products.

Naturally, celebs are all over Allies Of Skin, with some of the best faces in the biz crediting their glow to various Allies products. Hailey Bieber constantly recs the Peptides and Antioxidants Firming Day Treatment, $188, which is also a favourite of Behati Prinsloo, while Kaia Gerber has said she uses the brand exclusively.

Allies Of SkinAllies Of Skin Peptides and Antioxidants Firming Day Treatment, $188, SHOP NOW

The brand’s best seller and Hailey fave, it does more than your average moisturiser. Sure, it delivers the insane hydration, but it’s also got nine antioxidants (vitamin C, amongst others) for free radical protection, seven different types of peptides for texture and tone and seven brighteners to target pigmentation.

A Kaia Gerber favourite, this is a good gateway product to the brand. An elite gel cleanser it removes makeup, sunscreen and grime giving good clean without leaving the skin stripped.

Allies Of SkinAllies Of Skin Retinal and Peptides Repair Night Cream, $178 SHOP NOW

Another one that’s Kaia-Gerber-approved; it uses a type of encapsulated Retinaldehyde which is less irritating for the skin, but still reaps all the benefits (helps smooth fine lines, retexturise and address pigmentation).

Allies Of SkinAllies of Skin 35% Vitamin C + Perfecting Serum, $217 SHOP NOW

This is the product Behati Prinsloo Levine says is the “best vitamin C I’ve used”. It’s waterless, and has a potent 35% concentration, which the brand designed intentionally to prevent oxidisation, and of course it still does all the vitamin C things too: brightens, gives antioxidant protection, evens tone.
