If there’s one hair cut we want in 2020, it’s Kaia Gerber’s bob. The fact she’s a model (and the daughter of super Cindy Crawford) probably helps, but her shoulder-grazing blunt cut is a star in its own right. The model has gone from long to short to shorter over the course of 2019, and now to ring in the new year, shortest.
On her Instagram stories, Gerber has shared a fleeting video of her latest style. A super short, cheekbone-grazing cut that’s rounded out to fall around her face. It’s a bold decision that requires much upkeep (like neck shaving), but if there’s any bone structure that can pull it off, it’s certainly Gerber’s.
It’s also a bit of proof to back the theory that cutting off your hair can be addictive. The model has continuously traded her length in this year, explaining that she “can’t seem to keep the hair” on her head. Long or short, the model is a mainstay in saved folders around the world, and continuously serving as inspiration to be in with the new (haircut) and out with the old.
If you’re thinking of trying something similar, take the texture of your hair into consideration (thick, curly styles will spring upwards more), as well as how often you like to tie it back – there’s no pony tails with hair this short. If you can’t get by without a bun, her previous bob is a better-suited option.
