Two days after Justin Timberlake was photographed holding hands with his Palmer co-star Alisha Wainwright, the 38-year-old singer and actor has returned to the movie’s set in New Orleans. Yes, it’s business as usual.

On Saturday night, the cast and crew of the film gathered at a bar nearby where footage of Timberlake – a married father – and Wainwright getting pretty close was taken by a spying paparazzi. Wainwright, 30, can be seen resting her hand on Timberlake’s knee – an action which one American talk show anchor counted as having lasted 11 seconds. The co-stars also appear to be holding hands under the table.

While Wainwright’s rep shut down any rumours of an affair very quickly – “There is no validity to this speculation. They are currently working on a project together. Members of the cast and crew were all together,” the rep told PEOPLE – fans couldn’t help but feel sorry for Timberlake’s wife, actor Jessica Biel. Is it too close?

“It’s a balcony with a group of people and it was definitely nothing happening,” the source said. “He’s down there shooting Palmer, they’re starring in the movie together and they’re cool and everybody was just hanging out.”

The source added, “The video may look a [certain] way, but literally it was nothing. It was some friends, members of the team, crew and people like that. They all know each other and were hanging. Like come on, they’re on an open balcony in New Orleans and he’s famous. It was nothing.”

A different source, who spoke to E! News, recognised the inappropriate behaviour. “They are downplaying everything and trying to laugh it off as nothing. But it was definitely inappropriate and something that would make any wife uncomfortable,” the insider said.

“He had too much to drink and got carried away.”

The former *NSYNC band member and Seventh Heaven actor married in 2012. They share a four-year-old son Silas, together.

Since you asked, I think this has Kristen Stewart/Rupert Sanders vibes. But, will give Timberlake the benefit of the doubt on this one.
