We were both shocked and saddened when in August 2021, Kate Bosworth announced her split from husband Michael Polish after eight years of marriage. In a new interview it has been confirmed that the Blue Crush star is romantically linked to actor Justin Long, who has said he is dating “the one”.
The Herbie Fully Loaded star did not name Bosworth in a conversation with Nick Viall on the podcast The Viall Files, but the pair were rumoured to be in a relationship after they were seen riding in a car together and reportedly photographed holding hands.
“I had gotten to a place where I was comfortable with myself. I didn’t know it at the time, but I was ready for the one,” Long said in the new episode which aired on Monday. “And the one, I met. I found.”
He added,”I want to [talk about it], but I also want to be protective. I want to scream it from the rooftops, but I also want to be protective. It’s sacred.”
The couple are believed to have been dating for about four months. In December, Long admitted he had a girlfriend on an episode on his own namesake podcast Life is Short with Justin Long but remained coy on the details. The pair spent an extensive period together in 2021 filming a project in Arkansas. Hey, it worked for Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde!
On August 6, 2021, Bosworth announced she had split from Polish in an amicable separation.
“Together, over the last ten years, Michael and I have chosen love, every time,” the actress wrote in a lengthy Instagram post. “We hold hands as tightly today as we entangled fingers on our wedding day. Our eyes look more deeply into one another, with more courage now. In the process of letting go, we have come to acknowledge that our love will never end.”
