Actor Josh Duhamel says he’s ready to be a father again just one year after his split from popstar Fergie. Joining Dax Shepard for a chat on his podcast Armchair Expert, Duhamel, 45, confessed he hopes to find a woman young enough to bare his children. It was a comment that didn’t go down very well.
I’’m not 30-years-old anymore. I’m 45,” said Duhamel. “I want to have more kids in the next few years. So it’s more about finding someone young enough to have kids. It’s not as if I’m out there trying to just f— anything. That’s not who I am. I’m trying to find a girl that I can be with and have a family with.”
Duhamel and Fergie, 43, were married for eight years – and together for 13 – but announced their separation in September 2017. “Fergie and I had a great relationship. I love that girl and I always will,” Duhamel told Shepard. “Unfortunately, we didn’t work. But I will always have her back and she is the mother of my baby.”
The actor was linked to Mexican actress Eiza González, 28, but reportedly split in July this year. Duhamel has said in the past that he would like to have five children.
