JLo is literally UNSTOPPABLE right now.
Everyone’s talking about Hustlers, and her performance in it, and that it will earn her at the very least an Oscar nod, and most likely the gong itself.
Then she stormed the catwalk in Milan for Versace, wearing an even racier version of THAT jungle green print dress that she first wore to the Grammys in the year 2000.
Then, just yesterday, it was announced that she will take to the stage for the coveted Super Bowl half time show next February with none other than Shakira.
And on the same night, she launched her new perfume, Promise, in NYC, arriving with her fiance Alex Rodriguez in a stunning, plunging white suit jacket with fluted pencil skirt and what looked like white Valentino heels and a matching belt.
The fragrance is the 30th in the Jennifer Lopez beauty line, which kicked off in 2002 with Glow. Jen has earned a cool $3.6 BILLION from her fragrances over the past 17 years. Her empire also includes clothing lines, a production company, and a charitable foundation.
Promise is available online now, and in stores from October 9. The scent, we’re told, is a heady, sweet mix of jasmine, honeysuckle and pink berry notes.
This is the story behind the perfume’s name, according to JLo: “I was having dinner with [mega-rich dude] Warren Buffett and he told me something that really resonates with me: a brand is a promise. It’s a foundation that keeps us going. We all make promises to ourselves and one another, they are meant to be forever.”
The actor and artist really is on top of the world right now, and has recently revealed that she wouldn’t be opposed to the idea of more kids with A-Rod after they marry next year. She has eleven-year-old twins already, with Marc Anthony, and A-Rod has two daughters of his own.
Why the hell not?
JLo’s not afraid to point out the obvious — she’s forever young.
