We’re used to seeing Jennifer Lopez jet into an icy New York City in one of Coach’s plush, oversized shearling coats; tip-dyed, gold turnlock accents, Western-inspired whipstiching. But right now, and regardless of the rocks that she’s got, the 50-year-old is just like us all – bunkered down at home and filming a lot of TikToks with her children. (Lopez’s latest is a humorous skit about parents going stir-crazy in isolation, filmed with her partner Alex Rodriguez.)
Across the world, Mother’s Day looks a little different this year. For most of us, we can’t pop over to our mums for lunch or watch her open our presents in-person. But it doesn’t mean that the day can’t still be made extra special. Whether you’re near or far – or seeing each other through a window, an iPhone or from a distance at a doorstep – you can still make your mum feel every bit as appreciated as you did pre-pandemic.
A proud ambassador for Coach, Lopez filmed the brand’s current campaign atop a New York City rooftop a little while ago. In it, she’s floating about in Coach’s signature luxury leather which includes GRAZIA’s Mother’s Day pick: The Tabby Shoulder Bag.
A contemporary take on an archival 1970s Coach design, the structured and compact Tabby is crafted from refined leather and signature canvas and can be worn both as a short shoulder bag or styled as a cross-body. With the classic ‘C’ hardware and embroidered with a vintage-inspired, hand-crocheted wool floral motif, it’s a keepsake for any mother – and surely belongs on Quentin Tarantino’s reimagining of Sharon Tate.
One day, like Lopez, your mum might even take it to a chic rooftop in New York.
