Jennifer Lopez is rumoured to be dating retired American baseball star Alex Rodriguez, and we just got the strongest piece of evidence yet from J.Lo herself.
After the pair were reported to be spending a weekend in the Bahamas together, on Sunday local time J.Lo briefly shared a selfie to her Instagram Story that showed her with a man playfully touching her hair, his face obscured but certainly looking a lot like Rodriguez. The photo was online for just a few minutes before it disappeared, but the internet made sure the snap was screen-shotted and shared.
As one of Instagram’s most popular celebrities with more than 60 million followers, it seems unlikely Lopez would post anything without being totally sure, and possibly even being approved by her social media and legal team. Call us cynical, but the post-and-delete seems like a way for the 47-year-old to tease her new relationship without seeming like she’s announcing it to the world.
It could also be intended for the eyes of Drake, who the Let’s Get Loud singer appeared to be dating in December and January before things fizzled out.
Meanwhile A-Rod, 41, was dating Silicon Valley CEO Anne Wojcicki for a year until February, and has also dated Kate Hudson and Cameron Diaz.
If Jennifer and Alex do go public as a couple, they might just have the best celebrity couple moniker of all time: J.Rod. Or, A.Lo. Either works, really.
