Following the news that sold out pieces from her recent project with Boohoo will be restocked this week, we hear from the American singer and actor on why she agreed to edit a 50-piece collection for the online retailer and how much of her personal style took centre stage.

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR OWN FASHION VIBE? I think the best thing about my personal style is I don’t have just one.

WHO IS YOUR PERSONAL STYLE INSPIRATION?  Law [Roach, her long-time stylist and fashion director for this campaign shoot] for sure. He’s basically taught me everything I know about fashion and given me the confidence to be fearless in whatever I wear.

HOW IS THIS EDIT FOR BOOHOO DISTINCTLY ‘YOU’? I think it’s eclectic like my style but somehow all works together… like my style. I’ve definitely been able to add my flare to things.

ARE THERE ANY SPECIFIC OCCASIONS YOU HAD IN MIND WHILE YOU WORKED ON IT? I always like to think of the dress up/dress down concept. I feel like it was important every piece I chose had that versatility so people can get the most form their looks. Sometimes all it takes is a change of shoe.

WHICH OF THE 50-PLUS SELECTS ARE YOUR FAVOURITES? There are a few silky pieces I love: this almost pyjama-esque set, a striped slip dress and a two-piece lavender suit.

WHAT IS IT ABOUT THE BRAND THAT DREW YOU INTO THIS PARTNERSHIP? I love working with brands that allow you to be creative and collaborate. I know my fans, and I know what’s important to them. They are chic, fashion-forward and love clothes, but like most people wanna be able to ball on a budget. So I felt this was a perfect fit, to help them choose some easy pieces that aren’t just “trendy” but also attainable.

WHO ARE YOU HOPING WILL WEAR THIS COLLECTION? Anybody and everybody who loves clothes.
