Iggy Azalea appears to be in trouble with one of the world’s biggest banks.
American Express has filed a lawsuit against the Fancy singer in the US, claiming the Australian owes them USD $300,000 – that’s AUD $385,000.
According to People, who saw the court documents, American Express say Iggy went $250,000 over her credit limit. They’re seeking the full amount plus legal bills.
How do you even go that far over your credit limit?
Iggy will want to rectify the situation ASAP – the American banking system relies heavily on a person’s credit score, and it can be difficult to even rent an apartment with a bad rating.
The 27-year-old had been due to release her sophomore album Digital Distortion in June, but last we heard the project has been shelved indefinitely.
Recently Iggy has been affiliated with Jay-Z’s streaming service Tidal. She’s set to perform at the Tidal X Brooklyn benefit concert this month to support disaster relief in Puerto Rico following Hurricane Maria.
