It was only a matter of time. Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster have been spotted holding hands during an evening together in Santa Monica, confirming their rumoured romance.
The actors and Broadway stars were both all smiles as they walked into a nondescript restaurant, cameras flashing before them. Foster, in a long, chic, camel-hued coat, black pumps and a mini black top-handle was beaming. The sighting comes a day after Jackman, 56, was spotted in the audience at 49-year-old Foster’s stage debut in Once Upon A Mattress in Los Angeles on January 3.
The pair starred on Broadway together in the 2022 revival of The Music Man which ran from December 2021 to January 2023. GRAZIA readers may know Foster from her turn as Liza Miller, a fashionable, divorced single mother who lies about her age to get a job in publishing in television series, Younger.
“I had the time of my life playing opposite this guy,” Foster gushed in a 2022 interview with Jackman on the Late Night with Seth Meyers show.
Jackman was married to Australian actor Deborah Lee Furness for 27 years before announcing their separation in September 2023.
“We have been blessed to share almost three decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage. Our journey now is shifting, and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth,” the pair said in a joint statement at the time. “Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness. We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives.”
A month later, Foster filed for divorce from her husband of 10 years, American screenwriter Ted Griffin.
