In May of each year, the well-threaded power players of the Australian fashion industry assemble at Carriageworks in Sydney’s Eveleigh for a week of sartorial previews. Editors, buyers, influencers and celebrities fill the hotly coveted rows that line the runways, as they take in the latest from the best and brightest Australian fashion has to offer.
Mercedes Benz Fashion Week is Sydney’s premium fashion industry event and, thanks to the ‘Weekend Edition’, all the exclusivity of fashion week can be experienced by you, too. Immediately following fashion week, over the course of May 17 and 18 an exciting schedule awaits the savvy fashion up-an-comer. In particular, GRAZIA and ICON will be hosting Runway 1 on May 18, a showcase of cocktail collections from designers like AJE, Bec & Bridge, Bassike, Lee Mathews and Alice McCall.

This is your chance to immerse yourself with the movers and shakers of the créme of Australian fashion talent, to rub shoulders with influencers and to hear from some the industry’s most respected names. Here’s what you need to know:
What is it? The GRAZIA and ICON premium runway event for Mercedes Benz Fashion Week: Weekend Edition.
What does it entail? An exclusive runway show, where you have the opportunity to sit front row (see ticket options below), taking in the new season of the below designers, six months before collections hit the stores. As well as experience key fashion week activations such as the ‘Weekend Edition Workshops’. Designers include: AJE, Bec & Bridge, Bassike, Anna Quan, Alice McCall, Lee Mathews, Leo & Lin, Mariam Seddiq, Albus Lumen, Mndatory, Jonathan Simkhai, Thurley and Justin Cassin.
When is it? Saturday May 18, 2019, 6:30pm
Where is it? Carriageworks, 245 Wilson Street, Eveleigh
How do I attend? Ticket options are as follows and all available here:
On The Runway ($220): Seats are down the middle of the runway and your ticket includes access to the on site Weekend Edition Workshops and a Mon Purse leather accessory valued at $99.
Front and Centre ($500 for two tickets – tickets sold as pair): Sit where key media usually sit at the end of the runway. Ticket includes a glass of bubbles while you watch the show, access to the on site Weekend Edition Workshops and a Mon Purse leather accessory valued at $99.
Platinum ($160): Sit front row, enjoy the Mercedes-Benz Star Lounge for 1 hour prior to the show (a glass of bubbles and canapés included) and access to the on site Weekend Edition Workshops.
Gold ($120): Enjoy the show from row two and access the on site Weekend Edition Workshops
Silver ($90 – SOLD OUT): Enjoy the show from row three and access the on site Weekend Edition Workshops
