A star-studded event, the line-up of models for the Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda Show featured some of the biggest supermodels in the world, most notably Naomi Campbell. While D&G debuted extravagant and over-the-top haute couture gowns and headpieces, it maintained its classic makeup traditions: fresh-faced with rose-red lipstick and liquid black eyeliner.
Behind the scenes of the Alta Moda show, one of the world’s most influential makeup artists was working her magic. Pat McGrath was responsible for executing the classic Dolce & Gabbana look: the perfect red lip and a winged liner sharp enough to kill.
Global Creative Director for Redken, Guido Palau, was in charge of creating the smoothest and shiniest of hair. Whether it be slicked back in a bun or styled into Marilyn curls, each look was slicked back and set by the Redken royal, topped with a Dolce & Gabbana crown.
