The eventful space weather keeps coming this week with a whole lot of big planetary energy. Slow progress and power plays dominate the first few days before a full moon on Friday (AEST and GMT) brings an electrifying quality…and maybe a whole new insight.

The fresh information could be a lot to digest, but with Mercury – which rules our thoughts and communication – in its happy place (Virgo) we’ll have the bandwidth to sift through the facts and figure out the next best steps.

If you feel overwhelmed or frustrated this week, remember to break things down into smaller steps. You can figure it out, you don’t have to boil the ocean, just come back to your body and work through any hiccups methodically. Slow down. Stop rushing. This is not a week to try and barge your way through. Once you’ve got a plan, don’t be surprised if you feel differently about something – or someone – by the end of the week.

ARIES AND ARIES RISING

Forward momentum may be elusive, especially early in the week, no matter how hard you try. As frustrating as it may feel (when all you want to do is make stuff happen), you’re better off saving your energy and using the delay as an opportunity to review your strategy. Chances are, your game plan will benefit from a little extra reflection.

TAURUS AND TAURUS RISING

There’s big ‘why-didn’t-I-think-of-that’ energy around the full moon on Friday (AEST and GMT) that could inspire a major change of heart, especially at work. Although it may leave you wondering how you missed the clues, try not to be hard on yourself. Hindsight is 20/20. Getting sucked into a should’ve/could’ve/would’ve whirlpool serves no one – especially not you.

GEMINI AND GEMINI RISING

This week could feel like it’s moving at a glacial pace when all you want to do is get things moving. Like hitting a traffic jam or roadworks when you’re rushing to work, you could beat your fist against the steering wheel and lean on the horn (metaphorically speaking) or you could use the time to do a little deep breathing, listen to a podcast or call your mother.

CANCER AND CANCER RISING

There’s an emotional tension to the start of the week that could leave you feeling a little knocked about. The key is to find a middle ground between frightening pragmatism and emotional overload. There IS a way to integrate both. Use the middle of the week to recover and ground yourself, and do whatever you need to, to get out of your head and come back to the present.

LEO AND LEO RISINGYou should know – maybe better than anyone – the only emotions you can control are your own. So if other people or projects (especially at work) get side-tracked, held up or pushed back this week – trust that it’s out of your hands and you’ve done all you can. Come Friday, you may get a whole new perspective on the apparent obstruction, and feel completely differently.

VIRGO AND VIRGO

A little bit of Virgo pragmatism could go a long way this week. As power dynamics spiral – especially among friends and annoying delays (think: travel, study and work) pop up – staying steady and prioritising practices that help you feel grounded will be essential. Later in the week the full moon shines a new perspective on a work or health conundrum.

LIBRA AND LIBRA RISING

Walking a tricky tightrope between home and work will require some major manoeuvring early in the week. Counterintuitive as it may seem, showing your strength by being vulnerable and authentic will help you find balance without feeling like you’ve given your power away.

SCORPIO AND SCORPIO RISING

There’s a lot to be learned by watching how people behave when they don’t get their own way. This week when you say – or hear – the word, ‘no’, notice how people react. You’ll quickly see who’s a grown up and who’s not; and you may be surprised. Use the new intel to let go of something (or someone) who has hung around beyond their use-by date come the full moon on Friday (AEST and GMT).

SAGITTARIUS AND SAGITTARIUS RISING

Not everyone takes a change of plans in their stride. Don’t believe it? Just wait and see how other people deal with the aftershock of last week’s shake up. If their way of coping is making you jump through hoops, so be it. Take the high road and trust that humouring them may be your best course of action.

CAPRICORN AND CAPRICORN RISING

Moving from a place of humility and softness is not your first (or maybe your second, or third) impulse, but this week that’s exactly what you’ll be called to try. Experimenting with vulnerability has the potential to be deeply healing if you’re brave enough to try it on. Meanwhile the full moon highlights a new reality around your cash situation. Trust what you’re seeing, and upgrade your plans accordingly.

AQUARIUS AND AQUARIUS RISING

After the surprise momentum of last week things could hit a snag Monday/Tuesday (AEST AND GMT). In the moment, you may want to scream, but the forced speed bump is actually happening to make sure you don’t rush into something that’s not quite right. Friday’s full moon promises new perspective to help understand exactly why things are working out the way they are.

PISCES AND PISCES RISING

Staying compassionate and forgiving – even when friends are acting, erm, less so – will be your challenge this week.  Just as if you’re teaching a toddler how to behave, show how you want to be treated by modelling graciousness and offering your emotional candour. Be honest, be kind and stay with exactly what is – especially when new information on the full moon tempts you to spiral into future-tripping.
