August Horoscopes

With Venus gliding into Libra, reaching a compromise – whether it’s over Uber Eats or your KPIs – is going to feel whole lot easier this week. Look out for a little speedbump mid-week when productivity could give way to pettiness. With drive and focus on point, your (or someone else’s) desire to get things right could come across as infuriatingly pedantic.

Make time on the weekend to reflect on what the tough moments of the past couple of months have taught you. The full moon on August 22 is a magic window to mine the tough moments for deeper lessons, let go of heaviness, and make a commitment to forging healthier relationships.

ARIES AND ARIES RISING

Your closest relationships should get a shot of sweetness this week with Venus bringing the good vibes. Work looks hectic, so try to embrace the softer moments off the clock whenever you can. Speaking of work, things could escalate quickly a full-on snark fest – especially mid-week. Choose your words wisely and go easy, especially if you manage a team.

TAURUS AND TAURUS RISING

If you’re feeling burnt out, this is the week to give yourself permission to invest in your health. Venus moving into Libra is the perfect excuse to treat yourself to some PT sessions… or those Air Force Ones you’ve had your eye on. On Sunday, block out time to let go of the angst of the past couple of months. A massage, a hike or long bath (or all three) is ideal. Tears are encouraged. Exhale, let go, breathe.

GEMINI AND GEMINI RISING

It’s action-stations for you at home this week but if you only do one thing, try to schedule in something fun. Whether its popping the Prosecco on a Tuesday or opening a candle you’ve been saving for a “special occasion” doing something simply for the thrill of it will be a welcome reprieve from the craziness at home. Speaking of which, watch your words mid-week when things could get salty fast.

CANCER AND CANCER RISING

While the world may feel like its spinning extra fast this week, there’s comfort to be found in your nearest and dearest. With productivity and new ideas (especially around business) in overdrive, “inspired” could swell into “anxious” easily. Soothe your nerves by checking in with someone who feels like home. The simple act of sharing how you’re feeling will go a long way to keeping angst at bay.

LEO AND LEO RISING

Got some stuff you’re ready to ditch? The full moon on Sunday is your perfect moment to purge – out with the old and in with the new. Take a minute to reflect on what the past seven weeks have taught you about yourself and your closest relationships (romantic, best friends and business partnerships). Moments of illumination will be coming in hot. Side note: keep an eye on spending mid-week when you could “accidentally” do some serious damage on Matches .

VIRGO AND VIRGO RISING

Your mojo hits new heights this week as Mercury and Mars join forces to supercharge your stores of motivation. Workouts, work projects, chores – you are all. over. It. The biggest challenge will be remembering your idea of “inspired” could come across as a little intense. If someone isn’t keen to ride your can-do train, give them some space – especially around Wednesday/Thursday. Hurricane Virgo is not for everyone, and that is 100 per cent ok.

LIBRA AND LIBRA RISING

You should feel a distinct shift this week as your ruling planet moves into your home sign. It’s the astro equivalent to that feeling of relief you get when you see a bunch of friends arrive, after you’ve been standing around alone, looking at your phone. There’s ease and fun and confidence on offer that makes even the tenser moments this week (Wednesday/Thursday could be a little salty) feel fine. Enjoy it!

SCORPIO AND SCORPIO RISING

Letting go isn’t always easy for Scorps but this week’s full moon is a big alarm bell to do exactly that. The past seven weeks have been intense – especially on the work/home front. This Sunday take a minute to try and sift through the roadblocks to glean some wisdom from it all. Remember, growth almost always = pain and/or loss. Let the things that are ready leave you, slip away and trust that what doesn’t come with you into this next chapter, was never meant to hang around.

SAGITTARIUS AND SAGITTARIUS RISING

Your biggest challenge this week will be knowing when to take your foot off the gas, as ambition could veer into obsession – especially at work –  on Wednesday/Thursday. The drive is great, but balance is important. Cool your jets by prioritising time with friends, even if the best you can muster is a wine over Zoom. With Venus lighting up your social sphere, connecting with your crew is the medicine you need to take your mind off your to-do list.

CAPRICORN AND CAPRICORN RISING

Feeling restless at work? This week marks the beginning of a three-week cycle where opportunities could easily slide your way. Taking a proactive approach to networking is a good place to start, as Venus in Libra boosts your professional appeal. Start by tidying up your LinkedIn then make a list of dream companies to target. Sunday is especially good for reaching out and forging new connections.

AQUARIUS AND AQUARIUS RISING

The happiest news for Aquarians this week is that the heaviness that’s dominated the past seven weeks is finally coming to a close. This Sunday’s full moon marks a line in the sand, as you’re served a cosmic notice to let go of all that no longer serves you. Controversial suggestion: maybe even let yourself a little cry. At the very least, be open to seeing things in a new – more optimistic – light, as La Luna spotlights the lessons buried in the last two months’ challenges.

PISCES AND PISCES RISING

There’s a tension building in your relationship this week that could boil over if you’re not careful. Taking it easy– especially around Wednesday/Thursday – is essential. Without rhyme or reason, you or your partner (or best mate or business partner if you’re single) will be spoiling for a fight. Remember, not all conflict is bad; consider whether clearing the air might actually be the grown-up thing to do? But if you’re not in the mood to row, tread gently.
