It appears congratulations are in order, as Hilaria Baldwin has quietly welcomed her sixth child with husband Alec Baldwin. The yoga enthusiast shared the news on her Instagram, posting a picture of herself and the new arrival surrounded by her young brood, which includes six-month-old Eduardo ‘Edu’ Pao Lucas, Romeo Alejandro David, 2, Leonardo Ángel Charles, 4, Rafael Thomas, 5, and daughter Carmen Gabriela, 7.
She simply captioned the heartwarming family snap “7” alongside a heart emoji, crediting her husband as the photographer. The new arrival comes as a surprise, as the couple celebrated the birth of Edu only six month ago. Baldwin was also told People back in November that she had no immediate plans for more children with the 30 Rock actor.
“During times of COVID, it very much feels like we’re done. Everybody’s asking me this question. I don’t know,” she said, before adding that perhaps she might feel differently in the future. “I’ve said in the past that I was done when I wasn’t done. I think, right now, I’m so tired. And I feel, just with COVID – it’s just insanity.”
The name of the new baby is yet to be revealed, but many will be watching to see if Baldwin will continue to give her children traditionally Spanish names, after she recently fell under fire for appearing to lie about her heritage. Baldwin, whose real name was revealed to be Hillary Hayword-Thomas late last year, was forced to defend herself against allegations that she had pretended to be Spanish after actually having grown up in Massachusetts with white parents.
Baldwin spoke out about the controversy at the time, saying, “Yes I am a white girl, my family is white…Europe has a lot of white people in them. Ethnically I am a mix of many, many things… I don’t really understand why it’s turning into such a big thing… I’m getting attacked for being who I am… people wanting to label me Spanish or American, can’t it be both? It’s frustrating, that is my story.”
