It has been just under three years since Harry Styles graced our eardrums with a new album. While the star continues his celebrated Love on Tour performances abroad he has also today announced the arrival of his third studio album on May 20, 2022. Dubbed Harry’s House, the announcement was accompanied by a short 40-second teaser.

Fans have speculated that the song found within the trailer is reversed, and if you spin it back the right way (you can listen here) we get a glimpse into the soft rock-esque music for his upcoming album. Ahh, we love the internet. The album artwork was also unveiled overnight and serves a fashionable sequel to glittery ’70s spectacle of Fine Line.

The artwork was photographed by Hanna Moon and styled by none other than Harry Lambert – the mastermind behind many of Styles’ past looks. Where the flared pants and genderless clothing were seen in Fine Line, this newest album has received a more soft edge and ‘cottage-core’ treatment. The look is top-toe-toe Molly Goddard, a cult London designer frequented by the likes of Rihanna and Jodie Comer.

Styles was previously and famously known as the lead singer of One Direction. After huge success the band went on an indefinite hiatus in January 2016 before the singer released his first solo namesake album in 2017. Two years later, he released his highly-anticipated sophomore album, Fine Line featuring the hit single, “Watermelon Sugar” (not to mention that music video). The album was nominated for a slew awards and won Favourite Pop/Rock Album at the American Music Awards in 2020.

Between his last album and the forthcoming work, Styles has been famously dating actress and director Olivia Wilde, so just you wait for a hot and heavy ballad in honour of her. May 20: mark you calendars!
