Harry Styles turns 23 today and to celebrate we’re taking a trip down musician’s mane lane. From his curly-haired, early One Direction shag, to the swaggering, air-dried tousle and right up to his recent short haircut debut – here are his most memory-making hair moments.
2010 – The Boy Band Shag

Back then, Styles was a fresh-faced 16-year old and one fifth of Simon Cowell’s latest brainchild, One Direction. Attending the Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 1 premier in London, his curly locks were expertly coiffed into Bieber-esque shag, which only hinted at the sheer hair perfection that was yet to come.
2012 – The Overgrown Mop

On tour, off the back of their second album, ‘Take Me Home’, and just before he started dating Taylor Swift, Styles’ brunette mane was left somewhat adorably to its own devices.

The year that 1D dropped their first album as a foursome, ‘Made in the A.M.’ Styles also became the poster boy for the ‘Man Bun Movement,’ of 2015.

Harry’s penchant for printed suits reached peak when his hair was at its longest. With its finger-raked waves, tousled texture and stage-flipping potential, the heartthrob’s hair had all the elements of a memory-making, rockstar ‘do – and baby it was ‘Perfect’.
2016 – The All Grown Up

In October last year, Styles shocked Directioners everywhere by debuting a shorter, sleeker haircut. Taking a break from music to pursue acting, Style lopped off his famous lengths for a role in the forthcoming World War II film, Dunkirk. Stepping out in a Dior Homme suit, Styles handsomely proved once and for all that he could pull off any coif that comes his way.
